Management Team

Gerhard Pretorius Co-Founder & CEO

With 20+ years of experience within the food manufacturing industry, Gerhard completed the following qualifications:

  • IMM (International Marketing Management) at Damelin College,
  • Production and Procurement Management, and Logistics & Warehousing management at GIBS Business School.

With his deep-rooted passion for the environment, he made the decision to step into the end-of-life tyre recycling arena because the worldwide tyre pollution problem motivated him to seek a solution for South Africa and the rest of Africa.

Hannes Maree Co-Founder & Executive

With 35+ years of experience in business leadership, Hannes completed the following qualifications:

  • BCom in Investment Management, a BCom Honours Investment Management and an MCom in Business Management at the University of Johannesburg.

During his career, he held senior and executive management positions in the banking and investment industries and has a proven track record of capability in business strategy, problem-solving, and critical analysis.

More recently, he has focused on the development of projects addressing the climate change challenges the world is facing, with the aim of helping to contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment, food security, job creation and sustainable economic growth in Africa.
